Tomorrow is the big day!

Hello sweet friends...I had so many good intentions to post more last week, but Oh MY goodness...I was soooo tired! You would think that back-to-school-time took some serious conditioning prep work.

I even overheard one teacher on Friday telling another teacher she felt like she had been hit by a train, LOL...whew...I spent most of Saturday recovering haha..

Oh well...I am here now, spending a little extra time reflecting on my week and preparing for the BIG DAY tomorrow! I can't wait to spend a day getting to know all my kiddos.

Our distraction of choice during inservice
meetings...OCD much?
So last week, we spent most of our mornings in meetings and our afternoons working in our rooms. I don't know if you remember this post, but I pretty much went on the record saying, "I was ready for my kiddos to walk through the door." haha...Big fat chance of that being true! What was I thinking? Every time I turned around, I found something new that had to be done. Friday afternoon, Sarah and I had to come to a stopping point and just walk away.

hahaha...so true!

Mrs. Whitt and I worked together to finish one of her student work displays! Isn't it so cute? I think I like hers better than mine. :)

Monday through Wednesday we spent most of our work days in our own buildings. Thursday, however, was our annual district wide meeting. This year's meeting was a pep rally! So funny!

Can you make out my friend Sarah in the back...
she is the one in the gray :)

My sweet Flamingo Friends at our district meeting :)

Check out our Deputy Superintendent leading the Harlem Shake to get us started. :) You can see Sarah from Hungry While Teaching and Kathryn from Ms. Carden's Superstars dancing around in the middle back. Gotta' love it!

Thursday was a busy day for sure! After our morning pep rally, we prepared our rooms for our Open House. We had a great turnout! As usual, I love seeing all of my new kiddos and my former sweet babies, too.
Look what one of my sweet kiddos brought me!
I LOVE it!

All right, friends...Edutopia is having an awesome photo sweepstakes! I have entered a photo of our class for a chance to win a $2000 Donors Choose gift card. Click on the pic below to vote for our class....

This is the photo that I entered...
see if you can find it and vote :)

I am also very excited about the big sale on TpT! I finally got something I have had my eye on for a while...I'm Lovin' Lit has these awesome interactive notebooking resources. I cannot wait to use these with my kiddos! You have to stop by her blog and check out all of her goodies. :)

I am also looking forward to using these...

So many great ideas out there! I cannot wait to use them all! Be sure to check out even more great resources at this awesome sale while it lasts.

Welp...ladies and gents, I am going to close with that...I am off to take care of some last minute details for the big day tomorrow!
