Ready or not....

I cannot believe that our summer is coming to an end, and I feel as if I should be stunned that it has done so quite so quickly...but ready or not...I have school tomorrow!

Post cards went out...so my new kiddos should be finding out which class they will be calling home for this school year. I hope they are as excited as I am!

It seems like just yesterday I posted, but I feel like I have so much to share....

Let's see if we can get it all in one post!

I'll start with gifts....the first part of  my prize came in from Bethany at Hunter's Tales from Teaching! ~ Thank you so much, Bethany! Look at all of the goodies I won for entering her 400 500 followers giveaway! I was so excited...it was like Christmas in July August! I loved the butterfly she added...such a sweet personal touch!

Josh started a new position with the Sheriff's Dept. not long ago, so he has been dying for me to stop by and see his new office. We decided to make a day of it Wednesday... lunch at the River Market! So fun! :)

Thursday...Our principal had a little get together for all us teachers....we had a little "photo booth" fun...here a few pics of this crazy group of girls...

What a great 4th grade team!

The Flamingos...

Friday proved to be the busiest and craziest day of all....first thing...my little pirate furry baby got his cone of shame off...isn't he still so handsome. He just needs an eye patch to top the whole look off!

Just a little bruised and scratched up...
but overall doing great!
Thank goodness!
Just as I was getting ready to head out the door for a road trip to Oklahoma...my son was in a car accident. I am very happy (and relieved) to say that he is doing very well...I just wish I could say the same for his car. This summer has been a tough one, but I am beyond blessed that my baby boy walked away from this after rolling it three times. It is just too bad the driver at fault left the scene!

After seeing my boy for myself and hugging his neck, I finally made it on the road, just a bit late, to my cousin's wedding in Oklahoma.

Katie Byrd and I ready for the wedding.

Katie Byrd and Maisie

Cassidy, Maisie, and Lilly..my beautiful nieces!
I am one proud aunt!

The beautiful couple...
Emily & Ryan

My beautiful mom and sisters! LOVE them!

Emily had a photo booth at her wedding...so I was in for more picture fun! Here are a couple of my faves...LOL

My beautiful and crazy sisters
Chrystal and Maegan

Can you believe they ACTUALLY had flamingo glasses...
so funny!

After all of last week's craziness, you can bet that this teacher is ready to be back in the comfort of my classroom surrounded by my new sweet group of kiddos! I cannot WAIT to meet them!

With that said, I am hooking up...just a bit late as with most things these days.. with Miss Nelson from Run! Miss Nelson's got the Camera for some Saturday Snapshots and Doodle Bugs for some Five for Friday...told you I was late! LOL...

Be sure to check out both of these awesome bloggers and all of the amazing bloggers that link up with them.

I hope to actually be on time for tomorrow's Monday Made It....wish me luck!

Happy Reading!

    1. Thank you, Lisa. We were all very lucky. So glad that we have drilled into him the importance of his seat belt. I think we would have had a very different outcome without it.
